Packing Books Cheaply and Safely

A Great Suggestion from Path49 over at eBay:

 (see enlarged picture below)

"I get my boxes free at a warehouse-type grocery store (Aldi's)...the type that soda or soup cans are usually in (they're about 16" x 10 3/4" x 2 " high).

If I need a different size box, I can usually find one there also.

A couple creases (across the box...as far apart as the box is high...in this case 2" apart) & cuts (on the 2" side) near the center...I offset the center about 1/8" to close neatly...& you have a very sturdy fold-over box (finished size approx. 7 1/8" x 10 3/4" x 2').

After you make one, it only takes about 3 min.

And I put the books in plastic bags & pad with plastic grocery bags (very lightweight), crumpled newspaper, or whatever I have on hand.

All my packing materials are FREE (padded envelopes get pretty expensive & really don't protect the book at all!)

I've never had a book arrive damaged (& my buyers love that their books have been packed well!)"

Great idea from a great eBay seller - Path 49!
